• From $80,753 to $91,815 (HEW Level 5), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading. • Full time fixed-term role until end of May 2024. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde. • High performing team. Hybrid working arrangement.

THE ROLE

The Office of Human Resources is currently seeking for a qualified HR Administrator to join the HR Client Services team.

Reporting to the HR Client Manager you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for HR enquiries from key stakeholders and respond to or escalate as required.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff and managers on day to day HR matters.
  • Using Workday (HR Management System), administer all actions within the HR lifecycle including recruitment, appointment, variations and terminations.
  • Respond to or escalate queries from candidates about the recruitment and online application and onboarding process.
  • Escalate and refer queries to HR specialist functions (such as payroll, employee relations, organisational development) as appropriate.

    As an important part of the HR Client Services team that develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders across the University, your experience gained in a similar role will be essential in providing strong and efficient HR support.

    The ideal candidate will be proactive in resolving or escalating day to day queries regarding HR systems, processes and procedures in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

    About Us

    Human Resources provides support and advice to all academic and professional staff relating to the attraction, selection, performance, development and remuneration of the University workforce. It also oversees the development of its leadership and management and ensures the University complies with relevant workforce legislation.

    The HR Client Services team develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders across the University and its entities, providing support and advise to staff at all levels within the facilities and offices. Consultation with the HR specialist teams, including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Health and Safety, Organisation and Staff Development and Payroll ensures optimal advice and service delivery, implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at improving HR service and /or meeting specific organisational needs, goals and strategies.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Skill and experience in providing advice and support to clients on HR systems, processes and procedures
  • Experience with Workday (HR Management System)
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills including planning, prioritisation, time management and initiative
  • Ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation while maintaining appropriate confidentiality at all times
