Housekeeping Assistant (Permanent/Part-time) Estates & Facilities Location: Newport, Shropshire TF10 8NB

Harper Adams University is looking to recruit Part Time Housekeeping Assistants. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following responsibilities to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the University;

• Collect and bag up all refuse and take to collection point or bin areas (not in student residential areas).

• All floor maintenance including the use of suitable machinery i.e. carpets, hard floors.

• Damp wipe all furniture, fittings, ledges, pipes etc.

• Clean all toilets, washrooms, bath, and shower rooms.

• Replenish all toilet requisites i.e. hand towels, toilet tissue, bin liners etc. Change shower curtains as necessary.

• Cleaning duties and protocol as specified for residential and non- residential areas.

• Participate in training courses as required.

• To work as an integral part of the cleaning team.

• Maintaining materials, equipment, and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.

• Report immediately any faults in the fabric of the building or in cleaning equipment either to the supervisory/management team or via the Repairs Request book.

• Ensure that safe working methods are adhered to and that the University's Health & Safety Policy, Bribery & Corruption, Safeguarding, Lost Property, and all relevant Policies are complied with.

• All other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.

The hours of work are 3hrs per day/15hrs per week working Monday to Friday:

4.00am–7.00am/5.00am–8.00am or 6.00am – 9.00am (teaching/office areas x 52wks)

And

The hours of work are 5hrs per day/25hrs per week working Monday to Friday:

8am – 1pm or 9am – 2pm (student/conference accommodation x 52wks)
