The College

The London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism is well-established and at the forefront of education within the field. The college is internationally respected as a provider of industry-relevant courses and we regularly win accolades from major industry bodies. We work closely with local and regional employers though curriculum engagement and partnerships.

The Role

The college is looking for a highly effective Hospitality and Culinary Arts coordinator. This is a full-time appointment on an annualised contract of 1820 hours per year requiring a flexible approach to working hours in the busy Operations department.

This role will be responsible for co-ordinating the operational delivery of the training restaurant and pillars restaurant within Lord Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of West London. This will include responsibility for:

  • Co-ordinating and deploying staff effectively.
  • Ensuring budgets are effectively managed.
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Safety legislation, Health and Safety Legislation and licencing legislations.
  • Management of the EPOS system, including training all cash handlers and ensuring regulations are followed.
  • Actively manage and monitor the maintenance of all relevant contracts.
  • Successful candidates must hold level 3 Food Hygiene certificate and hold proven experience in a similar level role.

    The candidate will also need to be dynamic and personable, display excellent communications skills, be professional well-presented and able to communicate clearly with people at all levels.

    You must be able to follow all training procedures and policies to meet the standards of cleanliness and hygiene required in line with Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations.

    This is an annualised hours contract and so commitment to flexible working times if essential. Specifically early mornings, evenings, and weekends as and when required.
