  • About This Opportunity

    The Health Promotion Officer plays a vital role in enhancing the health and well-being of UQ's Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) students. You will work closely with the Health Promotion team to develop and deliver engaging initiatives, campaigns, and events. By supporting the UQ Wellbeing Strategy, contribute to a positive and supportive campus environment.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate health and wellbeing programs and initiatives, particularly for CALD students.

  • Coordinate workshops, events, and outreach activities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, staff, and external organizations.

  • Create and manage content for website and social media platforms.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data collection, report writing, and staff management (volunteer students/advisers/peer educators).

  • Support the implementation of UQ Wellbeing strategies and initiatives.

  • Perform other reasonable duties as required within the Health Promotion Team.

  • This role may require occasional travel and work outside standard office hours.

    About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in health promotion or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering health promotion programs.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.

  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Queensland Blue Card.

  • You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
