This is a full-time fixed-term position through to December 2025 with salary in the range $89,861.38 - $96,402.32 (HEW 6), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

Based at our St Lucia campus
The Health Promotion Coordinator (Mental Health) will play a key role in implementing the University's Health and Wellbeing Strategy, with a focus on student mental health. This position involves developing and delivering strategic initiatives, building partnerships, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the health and well-being of UQ students.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate and support the delivery of health and wellbeing programs and activities, with a focus on student mental health and wellbeing. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aligned with the Health and Wellbeing Framework.
Support the development of workshops and campaigns focused on student mental health and wellbeing and accessing health promotion activities and resources during key times in the semester.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and facilitate partnerships.
Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Undertake strategy-specific evaluations of programs and activities. Track and report on project milestones and deliverables.
Prepare and update information materials on health and wellbeing.
Other duties as required.
Please note that this position will require some travel to other campuses and may require some occasional outside of hours work to deliver events.
About YouEssential
Relevant undergraduate degree and/or equivalent experience in public health, psychology, or a related field.
Experience in supporting the development and delivery of mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. Ability to negotiate, provide advice, and liaise effectively.
Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to analyse data, develop reports, and draft documents accurately and efficiently.
Desirable
Experience in developing and delivering projects and initiatives to enhance the student experience within higher education.
Knowledge of the University's structure, policies, procedures, systems, and practices. Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge as needed.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
