This individual must possess a Master of Public Health degree in a health- related field. The individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills, have own transportation, and be able to work nights and weekends. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative methodology is necessary. Valid driver's license & a driving record acceptable to the University's insurance carrier.

Health education, day-to-day program and participant management, recruitment and referral management for the Prescription for a Healthy Oakland project.

Job Duties

The Health Educator will work on the USDA Gus Schumacher Produce Prescription Program Funding mechanism – Prescription for a Healthy Oakland. The Health Educator will support the project through development of new materials, implementation, and evaluation activities and will work in collaboration with grant partners, including Oakland County Health Division staff, clinic partners, and community organizations. Responsibilities include: health education, day-to-day program and participant management, recruitment and referral management. The individual will also participate in evaluation data collection activities, data entry, analysis, and report writing.

This is a grant-related position and funding ends in 2026.
