We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic individual to join our team as Head of Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence leading the Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence team (SP&MI) in the Strategic Change and Planning Division.

The Strategic Change and Planning Division (SCAP), within the Directorate of Academic and Student Administration (ASA) exists primarily to support strategic decision-making and the Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence team act as a bridge between evidence sources and the university business areas, applying their professional skills and expertise to help answer essential strategic questions being addressed by our colleagues in academic faculties, marketing & recruitment, Academic and Student Administration, etc.

Overall purpose of post:

As the Head of Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our institution. Leading the Market Intelligence team and collaborating with Faculty Planning Partners, you will be instrumental in supporting the University, Faculties, and MRE (Marketing Recruitment and Engagement Directorate) in the creation, development, and continuous review of strategic plans and recruitment strategies.

In this dynamic position, you'll lead the University's regulatory policy analysis and higher education horizon scanning. The role involves staying abreast of market trends, competitor movements, and customer shifts in real- time. Through comprehensive evaluation, you'll contribute to enhancing our institutional competitive position and drive the development of forward- thinking strategic plans.

We are on the lookout for an individual with extensive expertise in market research, policy analysis, building and leading high-performing teams of market researchers, and leveraging market intelligence data to provide actionable recommendations that inform strategic decision-making.

This is more than a job; it's a leadership opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading and developing teams of market research professionals, showcasing an ability to not only generate and maintain strategic plans and policies but also deliver on their operational elements.

Experience in the Higher Education industry is desirable, but not essential.
