Are you looking to fulfil your potential as a Head of School in a post-92 university leading an academic team onto further success? The Faculty of Creative Arts, Technologies and Science is seeking an experienced and visionary leader for the post of Head of School - Arts and Creative Industries (https: // www. beds.ac.uk/howtoapply/departments/arts-and-creative- industries/).

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic direction and to deliver the operational management of the Schools' academic, industry and community engagement activities. The successful candidate will deliver academic leadership and drive innovation in teaching, foster a vibrant staff culture, enhance student experience while building strong relationships with employers in the Creative Industries to enhance graduate outcomes and portfolio/curriculum development.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Masters qualification in a relevant field within the arts and creative industries; evidence of extensive experience in academic leadership and management; a proven track record of success in curriculum design and teaching in higher education; a strong understanding of the contemporary creative industries and their evolving needs; experience in leading or contributing to successful external partnerships and collaborations with industry and excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students. The School also has a number of collaborative partnerships both in the UK and overseas and experience of partnership management is desirable.

The postholder will work with the Director of our aligned Research Institute for Media, Art and Performance (RIMAP) to support research, develop enterprise activity and community engagement, and with the Executive Dean, to deliver on our Faculty strategic objectives.
