We are seeking an outstanding and appropriately experienced individual with exemplary management and communication skills to lead our University REF submissions, in order that we achieve a high quality, compliant and successful outcome.

About the role

You will be working with academic colleagues at all levels and on an ongoing basis to ensure that we create the maximum positive impact in all that we do.

Working closely with the Deputy Director of Research & Innovation Services (RIS), you will shape strategy and enhance the preparation processes for submissions. You will have a clear understanding of REF policy, guidelines and requirements, and you will appreciate the importance of engaging with and building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on the University's ambitious research and impact targets.

    RIS supports the research activity of staff and student researchers with professional development, collaboration and funding opportunities, ethics and responsible conduct compliance, contract development, project management and intellectual property. You will join a dedicated, expert professional team of colleagues committed to the continual development of services to support the implementation of the University of Bath's strategic research priorities and the management of research systems and reporting requirements.

    This position is full-time (36.5 hours per week), but we're flexible and open to discussing reduced hours or job-sharing arrangements to ensure continuous full-time coverage.
