Continuing education is one of the most exciting, prominent, and fastest moving fields in UK-based and global higher education. The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is an established leader in the field, tracing its roots back to 1873.
We deliver high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. For many students the Institute acts as an initial gateway to higher education and onwards progression to further study. We aim to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.
We are looking for a Head of Marketing who shares our commitment to supporting adults to learn at every stage of their life. The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and leading the marketing function's operational strategy to achieve the Institute's 5-year strategic goals and annual performance targets, such as student enrolment growth and revenue generation across our diverse course portfolio.
The role-holder oversees a team of marketing and communications specialists and is responsible for their continued professional development. The Head of Marketing will oversee resource planning across the team, instil professional standards, and robust, reliable and transparent processes.
The post has both strategic and operational aspects, taking responsibility for the creation and delivery of an innovative and measurable marketing plan covering the operational areas of brand, paid campaigns, content and communications, and is responsible for the Institute's marketing spend of approximately £500,000 pa (excluding staff costs).

We practice a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office at Madingley Hall for a minimum of two days a week.
