Are you skilled in digital development, with a deep understanding of coding and experience managing the technical infrastructure of websites and applications? Can you inspire, manage, and develop a multi-skilled team of designers and developers?

If so, then we have an opportunity for you as our next Head of Digital Development.

This key management position sits within our Marketing, Communications, and External Affairs department and plays a crucial role in delivering our mission by enabling audiences to effectively engage with the University's digital platforms.

We are seeking a skilled individual to lead our Digital Development team based on user-centred design to build digital products for the University.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • A product owner with a proven track record in owning, delivering, and maintaining digital roadmaps, with deep knowledge of web standards and accessibility.
  • A team leader who fosters a culture of growth and development.
  • An advocate for best practices who promotes test and behaviour-driven development, W3C standards, accessibility, and usability.
  • A technical expert who provides support, advice, and guidance in coding and scripting languages, with the ability to review code within an MVC architecture (familiarity with one or more of HTML, CSS, SASS, PHP, Ruby, or JavaScript) and manage codebases using version control tools.
  • A natural collaborator who works closely with stakeholders across an organisation to align digital initiatives with strategic goals and foster strong working relationships.
