Medical Museion seeks an imaginative, energetic and experienced museum professional to oversee our internationally significant collections. The position is permanent 37 hours a week, starting May 1st 2025 or soonest hereafter.
The job focuses on maximising their use in research and dissemination, digitization and care, as well as strategic new acqusitions. The post-holder will manage a small team, be part of the museum's senior management team, and will be expected to be active across the university as well as the museum sector.
Medical Museion, www. museion.ku.dk reimagines health and medicine by researching and collecting through the lenses of science, history, society and culture. We engage publics and stakeholders with imaginative exhibitions, events, as well as through other activities. We aim to enrich people's lives by deepening their understanding of bodies and minds; medicine and health, and their contexts. We are an internationally recognised research-museum based in Copenhagen University's Public Health Department www. ifsv.ku.dk. We are also part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Centre for Basic Metabolic Research www. cbmr.ku.dk. In each context, our work helps bridge academic research into different interest groups and society, juxtaposing perspectives through multidisciplinary investigations.

Terms of salary and employment The employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). Employment will be as chief consultant with staff management. Negotiation for a salary supplement is possible. The working hours are 37 hours per week on average and the working hours are flexible.
