  • Position Summary:

    The UAF Center for Student Engagement's Marketing & Graphics team is looking for outgoing and creative students to help create a buzz around events on campus. Multiple students will be hired, Federal Workstudy students always welcome.

    Duties:

    1-80Under the direction of the Graphics & Marketing Manager, student employees will do a variety of marketing support for CSE's (Center for Student Engagement) programs and services. This will include distributing flyers, online marketing, social media, face-to-face marketing (tabling), and other marketing activities to promote events. Other duties may consist of cutting, laminating, printing products. Creative and outgoing attitudes are a must! Marketing & Graphics student employees will work collaboratively with programming offices to provide new and innovative ways to reach UAF's student population.Essential

    2-10Give a favorable impression to the public in appearance and behavior; adapt to changes in workload; work independently with limited supervision and in cooperation with other employees; possess attention to detail/organizational skills, be able to multitask and handle difficult/stressful situations with diplomacy and finesse; enforce state laws and University regulations. Must have education/experience sufficient to perform responsibilities of the position and have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.Essential

    3-10Work with CSE Graphics on promotion production and assist with other office duties as needed.Essential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge on how to use a variety of social media applications including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and other social platforms.
  • Ability to work/collaborate with other students and departments to provide engaging marketing for events
  • Must be able to work with Google suite, Microsoft Suite, and Adobe Suite is a plus.
  • Knowledge of campus events and CSE's (Center for Student Engagement) programming offices
  • Ability to lift 20lbs
  • Must be skilled in working as a team.
  • Preferred Experience & Education:

    Marketing and/or graphics experience is preferred but not required

    Required Experience & Education:

    To be eligible for student employment at UA, a student must:

    a. be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or b. for employment between semesters, have successfully completed six or more UA credit hours in the preceding semester and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester; and c. not work hours which interfere with class attendance; and d. have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

    Salary Information:

    This is a part-time temporary student position, minimum starting pay $14.96 per hour.
