As a department, the Office of Residential Life believes essential learning takes place beyond the classroom. We endeavor to provide and sustain a healthy, inclusive environment which fosters and encourages co-curricular learning, community ownership, civility, and respect. The department oversees all 1,700 residential students on campus, including several theme houses and Living Learning Communities.
The Graduate Assistant for Residential Life at Wheaton plays a critical role in supporting the department's mission. Responsibilities include managing departmental communications, serving in the on call rotation supporting RA staff, and managing a variety of departmental projects.
This live-on position receives an unfurnished one-bedroom apartment with wireless internet and utilities included. This position has the flexibility to work virtually during some hours and responsibilities.
