  • What makes Goldsmiths unique?

    About the Department

The Secretariat team sits within the Governance and Legal Services Department which supports good governance for Goldsmiths and ensures compliance with its many statutory and regulatory responsibilities.

    About the Role

This is a role that is required to work closely with Council members and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that our most senior decision-making meetings operate to a high-standard, fulfil their statutory and regulatory duties and deliver on the Board's ambitions for improved and streamlined processes.

    About the Candidate

You will be a dynamic, experienced and keen Governance Officer to join our small friendly and busy team. Dependent on agile working approaches, the current requirement is not for attendance in the office every day. This will be subject to the demands of the role. As a result, excellent IT literacy, an ability to work effectively utilising Office 365 is necessary as well as the ability to work on your own initiative.

    Benefits

We have generous benefits – an agile working environment, 28 days' annual leave plus 6 paid closure days (4 at Christmas and 2 at Easter) plus all Bank Holidays, great transport links, a defined benefit pension scheme, support for professional development and a broad range of wellbeing initiatives such as staff choir, running club and creative writing classes.

Goldsmiths, University of London is passionate about advancing equality and celebrating diversity.
