Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 524305), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis.
For appointment as Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner , applicants must possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or equivalent, and must demonstrate sound clinical experience as well as evidence of sustained development through continuing professional education or formal advanced education such as a Membership in Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by examination, Advanced Education in Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by examination or an MDS degree or equivalent.
In addition, for appointment as Senior Clinical Practitioner , applicants must possess additionally a Fellowship by examination (or by formal assessment) or Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by examination, or a clinical specialist status or equivalent. Their clinical expertise should enjoy regional acclaim as evidenced by extensive clinical or teaching experience, regional clinical publications/presentations, and regional recognition of clinical excellence in the comprehensive treatment of dental patients and preferably a higher qualification Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The appointee will deliver clinical teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, provide clinical service and manage patients, and conduct other duties assigned by the Division. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor R.Y. Su at [email protected].
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. For Senior Clinical Practitioner posts, housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
