Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant II in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526518) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social science, science, or other healthcare-related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, the willingness to learn new skills, a strong commitment to high quality research, good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize work and maintain a high level of effectiveness. Experience in clinical research and proficiency in statistical programming (e.g. SPSS, R, and STATA) would be advantageous.

The appointee will work closely with professional researchers and clinicians on studies in experience sampling method, clinical interview and/or intervention in mood (particularly depression), anxiety disorders and wide range of comorbidity disorders (including ADHD, ASD, etc.) in clinical population who are predominantly youths/emerging adults. He/ She will learn to conduct structured clinical interview for ascertaining psychiatric diagnoses under guidance of psychiatrist, conduct clinical assessments, acquire skills in delivering intervention for mood/ anxiety/and or comorbidity disorders in outpatient clinics and psychiatric wards. He/ She will also assist in project management, data analysis and collaborative meetings with psychology department, enhancing professional and communication skills. This position would be ideal for those who wish to gain research experience and clinical skills, exposure to outpatient clinics and psychiatric interventions, becoming part of a team that values collaboration and professional growth.
