Full-time / Part-time Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Sociology

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The appointee will be assisting the Principal Investigator in managing research projects and responsible for literature search and review, conducting interviews and observations, transcribing interviews and writing fieldnotes, assisting in writing reports and analyses, and performing any other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Work, or other health and social sciences-related disciplines. Applicants with an MPhil and/ or ethnographic research experience will be given priority. Applicants should have a good command of written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.
  • What We Offer

    The appointment will commence as soon as possible in March / April for 12 months on a full-time or part-time basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

    A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
