Duties and Responsibilities
work with a team of researchers on health economics/pharmacoeconomics, big
data, and epidemiology projects related to health preference elicitation
using health survey methods (e.g. Discrete Choice Experiment, time trade-
off), quality of life measures, questionnaire validation, cost-
effectiveness analysis, and medication safety and effectiveness in areas
including but not limited to mental well-being, infectious diseases,
cardiology, and oncology
conduct standard statistical analysis of economic and/or epidemiological
data and interpret the results
manage and analyze large quantitative datasets
assist with qualitative research, prepare and manage submission to the IRB
assist in the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong SAR and
across mainland China
prepare reports and manuscripts
perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
a Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Health Sciences, Public Health,
Social Science, Psychology, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, Computer Science, or
a related healthcare discipline with at least 1 year of relevant
experience
a relevant background in analysing large and complex datasets using R,
STATA, NVivo or other analytical tools; conducting qualitative interviews
and analysis will be an advantage
the ability to implement statistical analyses of economic and
epidemiological data with correct interpretation of the results
excellent coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills
a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese)
a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as
well as part of a team
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis
or a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to
satisfactory performance.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end
gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of
basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free
access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
