Full-Time Faculty in Business Administration

The University seeks a versatile, innovative, and mission-aligned educator-practitioner who can prepare students to become ethical business professionals, entrepreneurial thinkers, and Christ-centered leaders.
The successful candidate will teach courses supporting Greenville University’s Business Administration and Organizational Leadership programs and contribute to the continued development of market-responsive academic pathways.

Job Responsibilities
- Teaching and Student Learning
- Teach undergraduate business and organizational leadership courses aligned with the candidate’s academic preparation and professional expertise.
- Teach in-person, online, hybrid, or other instructional formats based on departmental and program needs.
- Develop engaging, academically rigorous, and inclusive learning environments for students from varied educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds.
- Integrate Christian faith, ethical reasoning, responsible stewardship, and servant leadership into the study and practice of business.
- Use contemporary instructional technologies, business applications, case studies, simulations, analytics, artificial intelligence, and data-informed decision-making tools where appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate availability for students and provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance.
Curriculum and Program Development
- Participate in the review, assessment, and continuous improvement of Business Administration and Organizational Leadership curricula.
- Help lead the development of concentrations in a range of areas like Agribusiness,
Equine Management, Construction Management, Entrepreneurship and eCommerce, and other market-responsive areas. - Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to create integrated learning opportunities and career-connected academic pathways.
- Support the development of courses, certificates, stackable credentials, transfer pathways, and employer-sponsored educational programs responsive to traditional students, adult learners, and community needs.
- Assist with curriculum mapping, program assessment, learning-outcome evaluation, program review, and accreditation-related documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of business practice, technology, digital commerce, workforce expectations, entrepreneurship, and emerging industry trends.
Experiential and Employer-Connected Learning
- Develop meaningful learning experiences through internships, practicums, consulting projects, field experiences, competitions, simulations, and community-based projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, agricultural enterprises, equine organizations, construction firms, entrepreneurs, alumni, and other regional and national partners.
- Engage employers in curriculum conversations, student mentoring, classroom presentations, advisory activities, internships, and applied projects.
- Incorporate entrepreneurship, product development, digital marketing, eCommerce, business analytics, and innovation into student learning where appropriate.
- Collaborate with campus innovation and makerspace initiatives to support venture development, prototyping, project management, marketing, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.
- Help students connect their academic preparation with career pathways, graduate education, professional networks, and lives of meaningful work and service.
Advising and Student Development
- Advise and mentor students in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, and related programs.
- Help students identify academic pathways, concentrations, internships, professional experiences, and career opportunities aligned with their gifts and vocational goals.
- Support student retention, persistence, professional formation, and timely degree completion.
- Encourage student participation in professional organizations, entrepreneurship initiatives, competitions, community engagement, and leadership opportunities.
- Model professional integrity, Christian character, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to lifelong learning.
Scholarship, Professional Engagement, and Service
- Maintain professional currency through scholarship, applied research, consulting, professional practice, industry engagement, or other appropriate faculty-development activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty governance, committees, assessment activities, and University initiatives.
- Contribute to student recruitment, admitted-student events, community outreach, alumni engagement, and program-promotion activities.
- Collaborate with Enrollment Management and Marketing to communicate program distinctions, student outcomes, experiential opportunities, and concentration pathways.
- Participate actively in the spiritual, academic, and community life of Greenville University.
- Perform other faculty responsibilities consistent with University policy and as assigned by the Division Chair.
Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree in business administration, management, organizational leadership, or equivalent in field.
- College-level teaching experience or comparable experience providing professional instruction, training, coaching, or workforce development.
- Relevant professional experience in business, entrepreneurship, management, consulting, industry, nonprofit leadership, or organizational administration.
- Demonstrated ability to connect business theory with applied professional practice.
- Evidence of effective written, oral, interpersonal, and digital communication skills.
- Ability to teach and engage students in in-person and technology-supported learning environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, employers, alumni, and community partners.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and an ability to support students from diverse backgrounds.
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and an active, mature Christian faith.
- A clear understanding of and commitment to Greenville University’s mission, theological commitments, and approach to Christian higher education.
- Willingness to abide by the University’s lifestyle expectations and applicable faculty and employee policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- An earned doctorate in business administration, management, organizational leadership (PhD or DBA).
- Experience developing academic concentrations, certificates, professional credentials, or employer-connected educational programs.
- Experience establishing internships, practicums, corporate partnerships, articulation agreements, or business-to-business educational partnerships.
- Experience with curriculum assessment, program review, accreditation, or continuous-improvement processes.
- Experience mentoring student entrepreneurs or supporting business incubation, product development, digital marketing, or eCommerce initiatives.
- Evidence of scholarly activity or applied research, consulting, professional practice, or leadership in relevant professional organizations.
- Experience teaching and mentoring students within a Christian liberal arts university.
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to academic program growth, student recruitment, and community engagement.
Reports To
Division Chair, Professional Studies
The faculty member will work collaboratively with the Division Chair, faculty, academic leadership, enrollment and marketing personnel, and campus and community partners.
