Frontend Developer Environmental Data Portal 50 - 80% (m/w/d)
Become part of a small, passioned and innovative team in charge of the development of the environmental data portal EnviDat (www. envidat.ch). Together we will design, implement and test features which improve the UX and provide further functionality for the management, registration and storage of research data and associated metadata. You will be working together with other EnviDat developers and with the technical coordinator on innovative concepts and prototypes for future development of EnviDat. Besides the main work in EnviDat, you might also be involved in additional side-projects related to Open Research Data at WSL, in direct collaboration with WSL researchers. We also provide direct user support to researchers with shared responsibility in the team.
You have a degree in computer science (or comparable education) and first experience with a javascript framework like vue, react (or similar) and the willingness to become an expert in vue. Providing a great user experience is important to you, and you know different ways to communicate your ideas efficiently with your team. Knowledge in either storybook.js, build-tooling (vite, webpack, rollup), server-side frameworks (nuxt /next), docker & microservices and data visualization is a plus. You are a reliable team player that is able to fluently communicate in English with a good understanding of German.
