We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic assistant professor and holds a PhD for a 4-year position to commence November 1st 2024.

Priority is given to candidates with a master in sociology or similar with a demonstrated research background in co-creation and visual impairment as well as documented knowledge of research in general practice.

The candidates should hold a Ph.D.

Your job

The assistant professor's responsibilities will primarily consist of:

  • research, including publication/academic dissemination duties
  • research-based teaching
  • sharing knowledge with society
  • participation in formal pedagogical training programme for assistant professors

    Furthermore, we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with the following skills and experience:

  • You have a PhD in Health Sciences
  • You are highly experienced in research with co-creation of interventions in general practice.
  • You have documented knowledge of research with visual impairment.
  • You have an active interest in health
  • You have pregraduate teaching experience within family medicine
  • Proficient communication skills and ability to work in teams
  • Excellent English skills written and spoken

    The place of employment is at the Department of Public Health, CSS, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment.

    Terms of employment

    This is a part time position. The candidate is expected to work as assistant professor full time.

    Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly full time salary starts at 38,575.98 DKK/approx. 5,100 EUR (April 2024 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.

    Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark the last 10 years.

    The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.
