Your new role
The Research Office at Curtin has an opportunity available for a Foreign Risk Officer to join our talented and passionate Foreign Risk Management Team. As a Foreign Risk Officer, you will play a critical role in enhancing Curtin's resilience to foreign interference, protecting the Curtin community and cutting-edge advancements in research and development. Working closely with the Foreign Risk Consultant you will undertake due diligence, analysis, risk assessment and mitigation activities with respect to a range of foreign risk related regulatory and governance requirements.
In this position, you will engage directly with Curtin staff across diverse areas of the university, including Research, People and Culture, Teaching and Learning, and Commercialisation. This engagement is critical to better understand risks and value to Curtin and its community and to inform a foreign risk assessment and control effectiveness. The Foreign Risk Officer will also track activities, submit notifiable arrangements to the government, and apply for relevant permits as required.
