• Location: Macquarie University, North Ryde, Dharug land • Appointment Type: Casual Food and Beverage Attendants • $31.23 per hour (incl. casual loading + 11.5% super) and any applicable penalty rates

THE ROLE

Campus Life at Macquarie University is currently seeking experienced Food & Beverage Attendants to join our friendly and supportive team at the Ubar on a casual basis. Ubar is a multi-facet venue which services a fully licensed bar, gourmet stone-fired pizza & barista made coffee.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for engaging with both new and regular customers in a polite and friendly manner, taking orders and preparing and serving food and drinks. You will enjoy working in a fun yet fast paced environment, making sure customers are happy, and that they leave with positive things to say about both you and their experience with our outlet. All successful applicants will be provided training in bar, pizza kitchen & coffee.

ABOUT YOU

You have demonstrated customer service experience with an understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations and standards – HACCP. You have an ability to prioritise and action tasks in a timely manner, work calmly and purposefully while under pressure and can communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.

Essential Criteria:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Australia

  • Previous experience in coffee making

  • Desirable Criteria:

  • Prior bar or restaurant experience.

  • Qualification in Food Safety

  • Wood/Stone fired pizza making experience

  • Note: This position requires a successful Criminal History check
