THE ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendant with the right attitude, to provide and ensure the highest standard of service to all customers and staff by performing the duties listed below in a highly efficient, effective and professional manner while adhering to all rules, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging customers, new and regulars, in a fast-paced environment
Working in a fun team and make sure our customers are happy ones, that have positive things to say about you and their café experience
Running daily operation in the venue including coffee making and food prepare. Providing a wide variety of food & beverage on campus.
Able to keep eye on food and beverage quality and overview the venue to maintain high stand performance.
Able to work as role model to your peers.
ABOUT YOU
Must have minimum 1 - 2 years wait staff experience in a high volume, fast paced café or food and beverage outlet
Right attitude - enthusiastic, know how to have fun, personable, the first thing people notice about you is your smile and welcoming energy
Customer satisfaction - you'll go above and beyond to get the work done and make sure your customers are HAPPY
Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation HACCP/Food Safety and WHS laws.
Able to work rotating 24 hours, 7 days roster, in accordance with business needs and requirements.

Within U@MQ, the Campus Services team operate multiple hospitality & retail venues providing products, services and events to students, staff and community members across the University campus. Our services include managing and operating Café's, Licensed Bar, Vending, Academic Dress, Branded Merchandise and delivering events and activations across campus.

Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume café or food and beverage outlet.
Excellent customer service skills
Understanding of Food Safety and Work Health &Safety laws.
Ability to prioritise tasks, respond quickly, use initiative and to deal with a variety of individuals.
Ability to deliver quality food and service to customers.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to work calmly and purposefully while under pressure.
