I. JOB OVERVIEW| Job Description Summary: | Facilities, Buildings & Grounds (FBG) is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to help support the Universities mission in education. FBG is a part of GW’s Facilities, Planning and Construction Management Division (FCPM), which maintains GW’s property and grounds on all three campuses. Reporting to the Fire Alarm Shop Supervisor, the Fire Alarm Technician supports the Fire/Life Safety team to effectively investigate and identify fire alarm and fire sprinkler system problems and develop plans to repair and maintain these systems throughout the University. More specifically, the Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for:

| Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The successful candidate must have possession of NICET Level I and the ability to obtain NICET Level II within 12 months of hire. |
