  • Finance Shared Services is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and competent individual in the Accounts Payable team. The team works closely with internal colleagues in Finance and elsewhere in the University and externally with our suppliers.

    You will be expected to provide high quality, efficient and effective transaction processing skills and advice to ensure that the University's processes and procedures are adhered to and targets met. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

    The Person

    You will have experience of working in an Accounts Payable function. We are a small, friendly team and the ability to communicate and work as a team player is essential. The role is customer-facing therefore good interpersonal and communication skills are important.

    The Finance function aims to deliver the strategic objectives of the University with a clear focus on customer service.

    In all our work we try to use simple, common and consistent language as much as possible. We also try to maximise efficiency by getting the best out of our automatic systems and reducing manual intervention.

    This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months with a starting salary of £27,804 per annum.
