Offer DescriptionBackground of the recruitment and description of the project Background of the recruitment and description of the project Research Institute for Electronic Science (RIES), Hokkaido University, is recruiting a full professor as follows. This is an open recruitment based on the spirit of the “Hokkaido University's statement on the promotion of Diversity & Inclusion.” RIES comprises three research divisions (Optical Science, Materials Science, and Life Science), two research centers (a Green Nanotechnology Research Center and a Research Center of Mathematics for Social Creativity), a collaborative research division, and co-creation research support. We aim to develop interdisciplinary science that integrates optical science, materials science, life science, and mathematics.
Work content and job description Contents of the research field: Science and engineering fields related to life and contribute to the development of science in the complex fields of optics, materials, life, mathematics, and information, which are promoted by the RIES. The Professor will pioneer cutting-edge technologies or conduct research incorporating cutting- edge technologies.
