The Macquarie Business School (MQBS) is looking for an Engagement Officer to provide coordination and support for implementation of the Macquarie Business School engagement strategy.
The role is part of our Engagement team, which delivers a range of programs, content, events and initiatives to connect with organisations and industry partners across the MQBS portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitable candidate with experience in project and event coordination to enable the seamless execution of engagement projects and activities.
You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, driving progress on deliverables, coordinating internal resources and third parties/ vendors, and collaborating with University stakeholders to ensure MQBS engagement initiatives and activities are coordinated and complementary to University-wide programs and activities.
ABOUT YOU
You will have strong relationship management skills and the ability to build on existing partnerships quickly. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to coordinate the provision of content and talent for MQBS engagement activities. In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently when required and adapt to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
You will thrive in a challenging and fast paced environment where no two days are the same, and enjoy collaborating with your cross functional team. You could be putting together a slide deck for an event and updating the website one day, or posting on social media, and coordinating a photo shoot with our central Marketing team the next.
MQBS embraces flexible working arrangements. Some events will be held during business hours at the Wallumattagal (North Ryde) campus, while some will be held in the evening or weekend, at the Wallumattagal or City campus and other Sydney-based locations. The successful applicant will therefore need to be open to flexible hours and arrangements that enable them to attend events.

Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/ or 5 years' experience in a similar role,
Demonstrated experience providing administration, project and event support within a corporate engagement, communication or business development environment,
Demonstrated experience with the development of project plans, objectives and documentation,
Proven ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders,
Excellent time management skills with the ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative, and
Demonstrated technical proficiency including programs such as Salesforce and MS office suite.
