  • Position Summary:

    The Process Technology Intern aids Facilities Services - Division of Utilities Maintenance, Operations, Instrumentation and/or Water Plant sections within the UAF Power Plant with various duties as assigned, while gaining hands-on experience. The position is generally part-time during the academic year (Fall & Spring Semesters) and full-time during the Summer Semester.

    Duties:

    100The Process Technology Intern aids Facilities Services - Division of Utilities Maintenance, Operations, Instrumentation and/or Water Plant sections within the UAF Power Plant with various duties as assigned, while gaining hands-on experience.Essential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to follow instructions, work with dependability, work in high-pressure situations, work cooperatively with others and work with accuracy.

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be enrolled in the A.A.S. Process Technology degree or Bachelor of Technology Programs Must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)

    Required Experience & Education:

    Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be enrolled in the A.A.S. Process Technology degree or Bachelor of Technology Programs Be enrolled at UAF with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and

    Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, or a newly enrolled student.

    Salary Information:

    This is a part-time, non-exempt student position. Salary is based on experience level.
