    At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

    About the role:

    We have an exciting opportunity to become a part of our Facilities and Operations team. As one of our Facilities Operatives, you will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a safe and secure environment is maintained for all staff, students, and visitors to ARU Writtle.

    The job role will involve porterage and caretaking duties, as well as carrying out basic general maintenance and upkeep of student residence and other university properties as necessary. In addition, you may be required to assist with security, compliance and monitoring testing.

    You will work on a rotating shift cycle covering 06.00am – 23.00pm five days out of seven, generally between Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend and bank holiday working will be required to cover annual leave.

    With either a range of GCSEs at A-C grade or equivalent or vocational qualification, including English and Maths at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required. To be successful in this role it is desirable that you are customer focused and have a positive and can do attitude. It is essential that you are in possession of a full UK driving license.
