We are looking for a senior manager to provide additional, temporary support and leadership for our facilities team as we embark on an ambitious programme of refurbishment. You will be an integral member of the senior management team with shared responsibility for the management of the physical infrastructure and facilities in the Anatomy and Physiology Buildings, and associated staff. There is also the opportunity to take forward specific projects to further cross-department collaboration in the School of Biological Sciences, including projects to strengthen business continuity planning and management. The role requires onsite working most of the time, including daily interactions with a wide range of professional services staff, academics, students, and contractors.
We are seeking a versatile individual with excellent organisational, communication, and problem solving skills as well as a collaborative and hands-on approach to their work. The role requires experience of building management and/or operations management, and significant staff management experience.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
Our preference is for full-time working (37 hpw) however we would welcome inquiries from applicants seeking to work less than full-time.
