At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the Role:
Based in our amenities building on the Writtle Campus, you will be a hands-on supervisor, providing day to day leadership and management of the three other landscape staff as well as working on the site yourself, ensuring that the campus grounds are maintained and look their best. You will also liaise with the campus and faculty staff to ensure support is provided for the teaching of horticulture and other related courses. You will also manage third party suppliers/contractors engaged in the support of landscaping services where required,
With a good work ethic and a can do attitude, you will be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and all year round. You will have two A Levels in relevant subjects or equivalent, OR vocational qualifications at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You will also be a qualified PA1 and PA6 spray operator, and preferably have a chainsaw qualification. You must have a current UK driving licence and a good knowledge and positive attitude to health and safety is essential. Supervisory and good communication skills are also essential to this role.
