This position is 40 hours per week located at the WorkBC Langley and Aldergrove offices. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm but will require occasional evening shifts till 6:30pm and on occasion Saturdays 10:00am – 3:00pm.

The Role

The Facilitator/Client Support Specialist will provide all-around support throughout multiple positions within the WorkBC Langley and Aldergrove Centres. They are responsible for facilitating Job Search Strategies and Career Decision Making workshops, manage a small case load, assist in client outreach calls, and provide tools and resources to help prepare and support job search and resource room clients as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver face-to-face and on line workshops as required by the WorkBC Program;
  • Monitor client attendance and progress in workshops;
  • Provide coaching to address individual job search and career exploration needs during workshops;
  • Assist returning drop-in clients with job search and career planning needs, complete documentation and maintain client records as required for Case Managed Clients;
  • Support Clients in accessing all relevant resources, including any specific resources that may be identified for individual clients and direct and refer the Client to other programs and resources;
  • Assist with the online application process starting with obtaining a Basic BCEID;
  • Conduct Client Needs Assessment (CNA) in accordance with Work BC guidelines.
  • ONLINE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES (OES)

  • Assist clients in registering for Employment Services through the Online Employment Services portal (OES);
  • Review client OES submission, complete Guided Interviews and conduct Client Needs Assessments.
  • TARTETING REFERRAL AND FEEDBACK (TRF)

  • Review the Targeting, Referral & Feedback (TRF) portal and contacting clients to provide up to date employment information, service and supports.
  • OTHER DUTIES

  • Query, create, close and assign service requests for Ministry referrals and case transfers;
  • Assist as a Career Coach as needed;
  • Assist in the resource room as needed;
  • Participate in Training Group's Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015);
  • Other duties as required.
  • To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need

  • Post-Secondary degree, in an employment services related field or, equivalent level of knowledge and experience;
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) an asset.
  • Demonstrated Experience:

  • Delivering Job Search, Career Planning and other employment related workshops to individuals with varying education levels and barriers;
  • Using a variety of Learning Management Systems to facilitate online discussion forums and webinars;
  • Providing customer service and resolving issues.
  • Also:

  • Knowledge of the labour market in Langley and BC is an asset;
  • Knowledge of WorkBC services and supports is an asset.
  • In addition:

  • Strong oral, written, and communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule;
  • Willingness to travel within the Lower Mainland;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle;
  • Good computer skills: MS Office Suite, database entry, and the use of online-demand meeting applications and desk-top sharing;
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal record check.
