Physical Requirements

Standing for prolonged periods of time while assisting FabLab customers. Some lifting up to 20 pounds.

Flexible depending on the student's availability and the needs of the Fabrication Lab.

Job Summary

Student workers in the College of Design Fabrication Lab serve as the first point of contact for all students who seek the services of the lab and its tools and equipment. As a student worker you will help guide your student peers with the physical and digital processes central to College of Design curricula. From planning to execution, you will work as a part of a team to provide hands-on support while promoting an environment of inclusive and collaborative learning. Student workers also provide operational and maintenance support by performing routine quality and safety checks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the Fabrication Lab. You should apply if:

· You are interested in furthering your knowledge and experience in design technology using a variety of fabrication methods

· You enjoy collaborative opportunities with your student peers in and out of the College of Design

· You are comfortable helping others solve problems with a kind a patient attitude
