Executive Officer in the Department of Politics and Public Administration (Ref.: 526963) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' post-qualification work experience in the education or business sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin); good communication and interpersonal skills; a good teamwork attitude; good organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and on tight schedules; and IT proficiency. Those with work experience in tertiary institutions would have an advantage.

The appointee will oversee the administration work in relation to the postgraduate degree/ executive training programmes of the Department. He/ She is expected to execute curriculum plans and provide secretariat support including but not limited to admissions, orientations, course enrollment, timetabling, student enrichment activities, examinations, graduation, programme committees meetings, etc.; to supervise junior staff and to perform any other ad hoc/non-routine duties as assigned by the Department Head. Working outside normal office hours/during weekends and travels to Mainland China will be required. Work outside normal office hours may be required occasionally.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
