  • About the Role Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as the Executive Officer within our dynamic Executive Directorate team? Reporting to the Director, Operational Planning and Student Information, you'll be instrumental in providing essential administrative and executive support to the Executive Director (ED) and Academic Registrar (dual role). You will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from managing diaries and travel arrangements to handling executive communications and project support.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining calendar management procedures for the ED
  • Arranging meetings and appointments to optimise time management
  • Ensuring the ED is well-prepared with the necessary information for engagements
  • Composing high-quality communications, briefings, minutes, agendas and other written material
  • Managing the Academic Registrar's email inbox and liaising with service areas and functions
  • Who we are looking for We are seeking a candidate who can expertly apply discretion, and judgement and who can work autonomously and as part of a team. Bring your exceptional organisational skills to the forefront as you prioritise and coordinate tasks effortlessly. Your ability to communicate effectively through formal documents and presentations will be highly valued. With your proactive and solutions- focused mindset, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the ED is well supported and prepared.   • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience in dynamic senior executive support roles
  • Ability to anticipate and meet executive needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills across all organisational levels

    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to- date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

    Your new team – Executive Directorate of Student and Scholarly Services The Executive Directorate of Student and Scholarly Services (SASS) is led by the Executive Director and Academic Registrar and supports student grievances and complaints, operational planning and communications to current students. It provides executive and administrative support to the Executive Director and sub-portfolio directors.
