Hong Kong University Press is a department of the University of Hong Kong and one of the leading English-language academic publishers in Asia. Founded in 1956, the Press publishes up to 50 new titles a year across all areas of Asian studies from leading scholars around the world.
We are now seeking a versatile and experienced administrator who can manage the day-to-day duties of both a busy publishing business and a department of the University. Reporting to the Publisher of the Press, the Executive Officer plays a central coordinating role within the Press, providing full departmental administrative support and supporting the Press' commercial operations. Duties and responsibilities include:
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' post- qualification administrative support experience, preferably in the publishing and/or education sectors. They should have knowledge of the publishing processes; an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); excellent communication, organizational, and problem- solving skills; IT proficiency; and the ability to work independently and to meet tight schedules. A valid First Aid Training Certificate and/or Safety Training Certificate will be advantages.
