Executive Officer in MSc Programme Office of Department of Computer Science (Ref.: (526201) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' work experience preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua); outstanding communication and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. They should also be a fast learner, a good team player and self-starter with positive attitude; be attentive to details and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Computer literacy and IT proficiency are expected. Prior experience in event management as well as publicity will be advantageous.
The appointee will provide support to the MSc Programme Office in various areas including admissions, programme operations, and interaction with prospective candidates, students and teaching staff. He/She will perform a wide spectrum of administrative tasks, manage events (e.g. seminars, webinars, networking gatherings, alumni reunions, etc.), handle general office administration and perform any ad-hoc and non-routine tasks as assigned. Shift duties on evenings and weekends are required to accommodate the programmes' teaching schedule. Occasional travel to Mainland China is also required.
