Executive Officer (Administrative Services) in the University Libraries (Ref.: 526858)

We are looking for Executive Officer to join the University Libraries to provide quality service for Administrative Services and/or other functional area(s).

The Role

Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, the appointee will provide secretarial and administrative support in financial management, human resources, as well as office administration of the Department. He/She will handle tenders, procurement and inventory of library items, processing of payment invoices and purchase orders, budgetary control matters, staff recruitment and renewal, staff development, internship, and perform other duties as assigned. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours occasionally.

Qualifications and Qualities

Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a supervisory position. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills; strong computer software literacy and the ability to work independently and in a team. They should also be self-motivated and capable of multitasking.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
