We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and engaged Executive Assistant to join the School of Economics at our world-class University. We are looking for someone who excels in providing reliable high-level support, is comfortable navigating a complex landscape, and is committed to contributing to the success of our School and beyond.
Specifically, you will provide a high level of executive and administrative support to the Academic Dean & Head of School (HoS) and Deputy Head of School (DHoS).
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage executive correspondence, diaries, and contact lists; prepare materials and briefings for meetings; draft routine and complex correspondence.
Organise travel, reimbursements, and reconcile expenses; assist with organizing staff meetings, strategic planning, and maintain effective administrative procedures.
Coordinate annual staff appraisals, support recruitment activities, and perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.

You are highly organised, resourceful, and displays exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a diverse landscape. You bring a proactive mindset, a passion for supporting others, and a commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proven ability to prioritise and manage competing work demands effectively in a high-volume environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying social statuses.
High-level organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn relevant University policies and procedures, with previous experience in a tertiary education setting being advantageous.
Completion of a degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre- employment checks, including: right to work in Australia
