Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Centre for Comparative Medicine Research (Ref.: 526468) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The Centre for Comparative Medicine Research is a rapidly expanding, AAALAC International accredited, academic research-support centre of the LKS Faculty of Medicine at HKU. We are committed to the provision of high-quality laboratory animals, well-equipped animal holding facilities, and professional services to support the leading role of HKU in research and teaching. We are seeking various talents and offer excellent staff training and long-term development opportunities. With a team comprising scientists, veterinarians, registered Laboratory Animal and Medical Laboratory Technologists, and over 100 highly trained and dedicated staff, we strive to promote the humane and excellent care and use of laboratory animals in the university. Applicants should have 5 passes including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics in HKCEE, or min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with 1 year's work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to perform multi-tasks; as well as an appropriate level of IT skills (especially in Excel and Powerpoint).

Duties of the post include event coordination, project management and human resource management. Performing periodic duty on Saturday mornings may be required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on a fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
