  • This is an exciting time to join Kingston University as we strengthen our team to deliver outstanding university events which encompass the entire student lifecycle from recruitment events like Open Days and Offer Holder Days through to Graduation. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and friendly team striving to deliver memorable events. The role involves meticulous planning, liaison and communication with key stakeholders and suppliers and effective on the day management to ensure seamless event delivery.

    The Person

    We are looking for a talented events professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes a pro-active approach to prioritising a busy work schedule. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as using their initiative to work independently. You should have exceptional organisational and administration skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Flexibility, creativity and continuous improvement are valued in the team.

    This Directorate plays a vital role in the retention and success of students at Kingston University. By taking a holistic, cohesive approach to the effective provision of services to our 17,000 students, we aim to enhance their experience through support that is effective and also responsive to their changing needs.

    We cover three main areas of responsibility – Student Life, Student Wellbeing and the First Response and Administration team.

    Student Life provides the University's fundamental student services while Student Wellbeing is responsible for all wellbeing and safeguarding-related policies. The First Response and Administration Team, meanwhile, ensures the smooth running of all activities.

    This is a full-time position fixed-term for 12 months with a starting salary of £32,271 per annum.

    This post is available as a result of maternity leave and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the substantive post- holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month.
