  • About the Role The Events and Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role, supporting the planning and execution of impactful events and strategic communications. Partnering with the Communications Lead, you'll join a dynamic team within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Here, you'll develop, coordinate, and implement a range of activities and events designed to engage key stakeholders. This is your chance to make a real difference!

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support end-to-end event delivery including the planning, promoting and evaluating of key outcomes.
  • Create engaging content for various channels including staff hub, website and social media.
  • Drive strategic communication by developing communication plans, managing budgets and collaborating with stakeholders to maximise event reach and impact.
  • Who we are looking for We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate excels at managing projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and delivering high-quality results that meet stakeholder needs.

    You will also have:

  • A degree with some relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise in communications and events, or an equivalent combination of both.
  • Experience in content development for a range of channels, including print, digital and social channels.
  • Project management experience

    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to- date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
