Are you looking for a new challenge?

Want to be a part of making a difference in health and social care?

Lancaster University is developing a brand-new Health and Care Evaluation Facility, an ambitious project with potential for significant impact in health and care in our region and beyond. It will draw on all of Lancaster University's world leading expertise, across health and medicine, management, science and technology, and arts and social sciences to support evaluation of new and existing health services, technologies and innovative ways of working, across all sectors.

We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals who want to be a part of shaping this new facility.

There are two roles available at this time – for a period of three years in the first instance, with the potential for extension, subject to funding – an Evaluation Fellow and an Evaluation Facility Manager.

Evaluation Fellow - We are looking for a candidate who can conduct evaluations in health and care and help to develop further activity with organisations who are looking to fund evaluation work. You will bring together multi- disciplinary academic teams from across the University to work together on tackling the regions evaluation challenges. You will support the development of joint funding applications with our health and care partners, and lead applications for funded tenders to support growth of the facility. You will need academic or professional experience in research or service evaluation, a tenacity to succeed, great communication, project management skills and an ability to build new relationships quickly. You will have the capability to design and implement high-quality evaluation – and you will have data collection, analysis, and report-writing skills to produce excellent evaluation.

Evaluation Facility Manager – We are looking for a high calibre candidate who can drive the establishment of this pioneering Health and Care Evaluation Facility. You will lead on embedding outstanding working practices and processes in order to provide partners with a streamlined, responsive and coherent service that will support them in shaping health and social care. You will support the communications and marketing of the facility, have excellent project management skills, and the ability to develop relationships quickly. Working closely with the Evaluation Fellow, you will have experience working on project driven activity. Experience of working with finance and developing contracts is a significant advantage.

Both roles will be based in the new Health Innovation One building in an environment that strongly supports the individual needs of each employee, promoting a healthy work-life balance. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis, as well as the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises and celebrates good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education.

For an informal chat about the either role, please contact Laura Kornas [email protected] or Lisa Ashmore [email protected]
