Join the Environmental Sustainability team at Oxford University as an Environmental Sustainability Engagement Assistant and gain invaluable practical experience and training.

You will receive guidance and support from the Environmental Sustainability Programme Manager, enabling you to develop your skills and make a meaningful contribution to the University's sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with students and staff, both in-person and online.
• Create engaging communication materials, including web content, social media posts, reports, and presentations.
• Support the planning and execution of events, training sessions, workshops, and presentations.
• Serve as a liaison between the Environmental Sustainability team and student body representatives.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the University.
• Identify and convey the needs of University partners to foster positive environmental behaviour changes.
• Assist in the implementation of sustainability projects and improvements.
• Provide exceptional customer service while meeting project deadlines.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
• A basic understanding of environmental sustainability issues with a willingness to learn more.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate environmental issues clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage workloads.
• Innovative problem-solving abilities and sound judgment on when to escalate issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other web-based platforms.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
Desirable:
• Experience in promotional or advocacy activities.
• Skills in graphic design and execution of simple graphic projects.
• Understanding of the structure and work culture at Oxford University or similar institutions.
