  • About the Job

The Careers and Student Enterprise Service is the academic, career, and employability nucleus of the University of East London. Our goal is to support every student in achieving academic success, developing skills for the 21st- century workforce, and establishing direct pathways to employment. Innovation and creativity are at the heart of our approach. To enhance student progression, retention, and graduate outcomes, we leverage cutting-edge technology and research, which has demonstrated a significant impact on student satisfaction, behavior, and career success.

As part of this dynamic service, the Employer Engagement Officer will play a vital role in building relationships with employers to bring valuable opportunities to our students. The focus will primarily be on supporting students enrolled in the MBA and MSc (Computing and Engineering) programs, who are seeking embedded placements as part of their degree. The role also involves overseeing the development, administration, promotion, and evaluation of UEL's placement, internship, and graduate schemes to ensure students and graduates are well-equipped for the job market. Additionally, the Employer Engagement Officer will take the lead in employer engagement initiatives, planning and delivering events and fairs, and providing valuable feedback to the university on employer needs.
