Outline
The Elias Duek-Cohen Urban Design Award was established to encourage undergraduate students in Built Environment to undertake their final year thesis on a topic concerned with making towns and cities more beautiful and more workable.
As a guide, some of the topics that could be considered are:
- Community layouts
- Landscape projects
- Urban developments on urban transport
- Design quality in community layouts landscape projects or urban developments
- One or more individual buildings in their urban context
- Urban transport, including facilities for pedestrians and bicycles
- Government or community activities and policies
- Imaginative future concepts and historical studies
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Must be commencing full-time Honours study in an undergraduate degree in Built Environment
- Must have commenced your honours program in 2024
Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Aptitude and commitment to Honours project with a focus on making towns and cities more beautiful and workable.
