Remuneration : Up to €38,478, dependent on skills and experience

Summary of Post
The RCSI Institute of Global Surgery works to improve access to high-quality, essential surgical care for underserved populations, through education and research partnership programmes. The Education Programme Officer will support our education programmes, in which, through partnership, we support the training of surgeons, anaesthetists and other cadres, in Sub-Saharan Africa, and in low-resource settings worldwide. The Education Programme Officer will support a number of different education and training programmes, therefore some flexibility will be required, particularly as new projects and programmes are initiated.
Specifically, the duties of the post are:
E-Learning and IT Systems
o Tracking user data on e-learning platforms and preparing reports
o E-learning user support and responding to general queries
o Administrative support for global surgery teaching delivered in RCSI
Data Management and Reporting
o Creating and maintaining filing systems for documents and reports
o Financial recording, reporting and assistance with preparation of budgets
o Contributing to preparation of documentation and reports for stakeholders and funders
o Contributing to preparation of presentations and proposals
o Supporting co-ordination of track expenses accounts, financial reporting and management accounts
Meetings, Travel and Event
o Coordinating organisation of internal team meetings and meetings with stakeholders
o Managing travel plans, visa requirements, agendas
o Assisting with event organisation and providing general support to visitors to the Institute
Other tasks as required by the Education and Training team.
Knowledge & Experience – ( Essential):
§ A qualification in a relevant field
§ Flexibility and a willingness to learn
§ Ability to learn and apply new procedures quickly and efficiently
§ Highly organised with an ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Experience in a related or similar work environment
§ Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and common software packages
