About the Role

The College of Design and Social Context is seeking a casual video editor/creator. Potential duties and responsibilities include video editing, motion graphic design, filming and other responsibilities across the production cycle, delivering high-quality final outputs.

Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing) is essential to the role. Candidates will be applying their skills to support the development of educational learning resources primarily for classroom use.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills:

  • Experience in using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video, design motion graphics and titles, and apply MOGRTs.
  • Ability to manage and comprehend large packages of video files and apply editing principles to create engaging resources.
  • Ensuring alignment and delivery of original brief.
  • Ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and branding.
  • Ensuring compliance with file and naming conventions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Role Responsibilities

  • Design and produce digital/video content for learning, courses and programs using industry standard and high-end content creation software.
  • Design and apply consistent visual identities, templates and stylesheets for implementation in digital and print-based products and resources for online and blended learning.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of multimedia production.
  • Apply and adhere to global accessibility standards, including the generation of transcripts and captions.
  • Identify and implement appropriate technology for delivery of educational resources.
  • Maintain quality assured production and administration processes including systematic documentation, filing, archiving and cataloguing of media resources throughout the project's production life-cycle so that all work adheres to University and legislative standards and guidelines.
